Special Olympics - If you are interested in helping with or entering your child in Special Olympics, please contact Kirby King at KirbyKing@earthlink.net - note: Kirby lives in Greenwood; however, at this point in time the Special Olympics is held in Greenville.

Local Support for Parents of Special Needs Children - Respite Care for Parents of Special Needs Children - February 14th from 5:30-8:30pm at Calvary Chapel in Greenwood. There will be coffee and dessert in one area of the church for parents while childcare is provided in another part of the church. They will provide a stress free space to sit, read, relax. They will watch the special needs kids and their siblings! Take a break on Valentine's Day! E-mail Connie Post at post@@nctv.com to register your children.

"Church" for the Special Parent - For those of you who would like to attend church but it just isn't working out with your special needs child, there is an option. Discovering Hope Support Group is offering a Bible Study the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of each month, beginning February 8th. It will start at 5 pm and meet at Health Solutions. Michael Post will be leading the Bible Study: "Leaving Normalville - Finding Joy on the Path God Takes You." Come when you can - no judgement - no raised eyebrows.
